Oh Sunny Days!

So as you may guess we have had the most BEAUTIFUL weather her lately. Over the weekend we sure got to enjoy some of it. Braeden got too basically live outside on Sunday and let me tell you he enjoyed every single minute of it. Not a lot has been going on here. Starting today Brooklynd had his first day of daycare. I sure missed him. Braeden was happy as a clam to have him there though which makes me happy! Freya (his day care provider) said that when all of the children crowded around Brooklynd, Braeden pushed his way through to kneel next to him- he sure loves his baby brother. We enjoy watching them grow together. Brooklynd now recognizes Braeden and smiles at him when he comes near. Braeden has learned to be gentle with him (at least for the most part). He pets his head and lays his head on Brooklynd's belly it is very precious. Darren has been getting ready for his 1st softball game it is in just about a week. He has been practing several times a week. This should be fun for Braeden too watch for a few minutes a game at least, that is about how long he can sit still these days. We are having a great time, our babies are super sweet. We hope everyone is doing well and will post soon.

First Baby....First Haircut!

Happy Easter (a day late) to All~

We had quite an eventful weekend. We went to color eggs at my bosses house on Friday evening. Braeden didn't get to do it this time. He is still a bit too young. We figured rather than getting food color everywhere on him, us and their house, we would just hold off for another year.

On Saturday we decided to get Braeden's 1st haircut. He was such a good boy. He has officially outgrown the baby mullet. Thank goodness he still has that sweet baby face. He sat on daddy's lap for the event. He sat still and patient, thanks in big part to a sucker they gave him.

Sunday was Brooklynds first Easter. We had brunch at my bosses house in the early afternoon. Afterwards Braeden got to play and play and play outside. Thanks to the rain he departed in only his onesie and a jacket :-) We all ate too much and had a great time! We spent the rest of the day with family at my parents house.

Braeden 18.5 months
Brooklynd 2.5 months

A Quick Update (My attempt is to make it fairly quick at the very least.....)

To start off the boys are both getting so big. Brooklynd weighed 12 lbs 4 oz at his last doctors appointment when he was just about 2 months old and Braeden was a whopping 25lbs even. We are so lucky to have such healthy, happy babies. Brooklynd is now sleeping throught the night...thank goodness. They spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Lorenz's last weekend so Darren and I could have a much needed "adults only" evening out Brooklynd needless to say woke up poor grandma after only 5 hours of sleep, it sounds like we won't be trying that again at least for a little while.

Darren and I are doing good as well, I won't be giving you our weight though, sorry.....(haha!) Darren has just started practicing for a softball team he has joined. That along with Kody's T-ball games this summer should keep us fairly busy. Nothing new is going on with me, I am planning a scrapbooking get-together for some of the ladies I hang out with which will give me some alone time to get their scrapbooks done or at least work on getting them done. I am planning to start going to the gym very soon, just recently got a membership again, plan to get fit for the summer and chasing my babies around and also for Terra & Ryan's wedding (June). I am also hoping to start helping with Dance Team again. I am setup to help with Milwaukie High School tryouts in late April, should be fun to get back into dance team, I can't wait.

Darren and I have been taking some parenting classes as well, our first was on Toddlers, we found it to be very informative and helpful. We will be taking a Baby Basic Sign Language class here in the near future. It gives us some helpful hints, some good alone time and the boys LOVE the evenings for they get to spend them with their Grandma (Ahma as Kody and Braeden say) Lorenz! I guess that's it for now. Busy Bees

On the road again......
Well we are all just now (Tuesday) settling in from a very long weekend. We took the boys to the beach (Lincoln City) on Saturday in the early evening, we arrived just in time for check in and dinner. We met up with most of my family. It was a good time had by all for the most part. Darren took Braeden to the pool in our hotel Saturday morning, on our (Brooklynd and I) way down to take pictures of him, we met at the elevator unexpectedly, they were already on their way up, I guess he wasn't into the noise and kids. Something for us to work on I guess. We didn't get to go to the actual beach this time which is always a bummer, we tried to take the boys to play in the sand on our way out, but it was high-tide. No room to play and too dangerous. We traveled down the coast towards Newport, stopped at a park/campsite along the way but still no luck. Darren attempted to fly his kite this time, but the wind wasn't strong enough. It was a long drive home, but we always have a good time. There weren't any good pictures from our trip. We will post new ones very soon.

Fun, Fun.....Let's Blog!

Welcome to our Family Site!

So...We thought we should take a cue from some of our friends and set up a family website. Seeing as how our kids are growing like weeds (the good pretty flower kind...not the annoying, ugly pesty kind! heehee!) and seeing as how we have lots of friends and family that live out of the immediate area who don't get to see them often enough. I thought this might be the perfect (is there such a thing) and easy way for them to be able to keep up-to-date! We will be sure to add pictures and new updates as often as time will allow.
