Family Bowling!

We went bowling this morning/afternoon...The boys 2nd time technically, but the first time Darren's got to see them bowl and they actually tried to bowl this time, well Braeden did, the ball is still too heavy for Brooklynd. We had fun!

Starlight Parade

We took the boys to the starlight parade for the 1st time this year! They had so much fun. We got there just as it started, which means our arms were exhausted (from holding them) at the end, but well worth it to see their excitement. The bands and drumlines were great this year! I had forgotten how much I love parades. Thankfully Darren enjoys doing things like this too...so we all had fun. The boys favorites were the train floats, one was from the Oregon Zoo. Braeden thoroughly enjoyed the bands as was dancing his little heart out everyone on the sidelines was entertained :-)

Washing their cars (AKA bicycles)

Wow was this past weekend ever beautiful! It is supposed to rain tomorrow and Wednesday and then our temperature begin to rise again I believe. I was reminded over the weekend how antsy I am for the Summer to begin. The boys spent the better part of the weekend outside and Brooklynd asked to go outside again first thing this morning. Friday night I took the boys over to my bosses house for a birthday dinner and for the boys to play with their grandkids. It was a great time until about 10 minutes prior to our departure when I literally had to carry Braeden out (kicking and screaming) to the car. The roles switched when we arrived home, when Braeden quit throwing a tantrum and Brooklynd had just begun. They were both asleep and I could finally breathe at about 10pm :-) It wasn't as bad as it sounds, it was actually worse, but I have to say I made it through it, as did they ;-) and I am sure it won't be the last tantrum we ever see. It's a good reminder to be thankful when they are using their manners. Saturday we spent around the house, the kids rode their bikes and washed their bikes too! We went to dinner with my family Saturday night, it was a nice, relaxing weekend. Yesterday I went to see "A Streetcar Named Desire" at the Artists Repretory Theatre with my mom. I had to go for school, but loved every minute of it too. I didn't see much of my boys yesterday, really only in passing and am SO very sad about that, but with working and school full time it is inevitable! We hope y'all are enjoying the beautiful sunshine while it lasts....tata for now!

Yay....FINALLY a new camera!

This past weekend we finally went and got a new camera. There are a few things I already had lined up in the way of photographs. Braeden has his first dentist appointment tomorrow, May 1st! I still had wanted to get pictures of Braeden in his toddler bed since the first ones I took were on the last camera that was stolen and of course it's baseball time for Kody so I want to be able to take pictures at his games. We also have two (hopefully) vacations coming up this Summer, one to California to visit Darren's family and one to Las Vegas for my 30th birthday...so I'm thankful we have a camera to capture all of our memories! We had a wonderful weekend with the boys last Sunday, we took them to a local park where they got to feed the ducks in the pond, ride their bikes, play on the swings and multiple play structures as well as enjoy a picnic lunch. The weather was a bit overcast but warm and perfect for a day outdoors! This coming weekend we are going to a graduation BBQ for a friend as well as a baseball tournament for Kody! Hopefully the weather will warm up and stick around for a while, yesterday it was hailing and snowing! It's April....oh my goodness!

No Camera....

This past weekend we had our usual busy weekend! I went to a baby shower for a longtime friend of mine on Saturday afternoon and had a great time. Darren and I took the boys to Kody's game late Saturday morning and it was SO cold, but I have to say I bundled up the babies and they didn't notice it at all. Brooklynd's face was so cold and Darren was a little chilly so they did sit in the car to warm up just before we left, but Braeden would have stayed and played all day if we'd have let him! He is such a big boy the boys played on all the play equipment. Braeden had two little girls that he was following around who doted on him! I can't believe how big Braeden is, he climbs all over the equipment like a pro...my baby is growing up! Brooklynd used the smaller slide and I taught him how to get up a way he could on his own and he did that over and over and over until we had to go back over to where we were sitting. It was the first time in a long time I've gone to anything where I'd normally take photos and not had a camera and I have to say although I miss my camera (especially because I LOVE taking pictures of my boys) it has been a nice break not being behind one all of the time. There have been 2 adult evenings out for Darren and I, 1 children's birthday party, 1 bridal shower and 2 of Kody's baseball games I've attended and NOT taken pictures at...I've actually got to enjoy each one being solely a spectator. Now with that said I'm ready for a camera. I have my eye on a Nikon from Costco that is a beginners camera and I've researched it in hopes of the package being available when I'm ready to purchase.
